Short stack

- See stack.

Speak

- To make a betting decision. Mostly used in the phrase "first to speak", which applies to the player who first has to make a decision in a round of betting. Implies that you are telling the other players how good (or bad) your hand is by the amount you wager on it.

Stack

- A player's pile of chips or money. A small stack (by value, not number of chips) is known as a short stack.

Steal

- To win a pot when you have no hand, usually by placing a large bet in the first round of betting so that the others player won't take the risk and fold instead, leaving the pot to you.

Straight

Suited

- Two or more cards of the same suit. Opposite of off-suit.
