Poker Jargon: O

Off-suit

- Two or more cards, which are not all of the same suit. Opposite of suited.

Out

- A card which could possibly be dealt that could complete a player's hand. For example, in a game of Hold 'Em if a player is holding 5H-7C and the board consists of AH-3H-8H-4D with the river card to follow, then that player has at least 13 outs (4 sixes that could complete a straight, and 9 hearts than could complete a flush).

Overcard

- A card which is higher in value than the community cards that have been dealt so far.
